Paper animals: printable cube crafts
A cat, a dog, a bear, a fox and other animals made from two cubes. Print the template on A4, cut, bend and glue.
How to print and assemble the craft
- Download the PDF and print it on A4 paper at a scale of 100% (without "fit to page"). It is best on thick paper 160-200 g/m², but regular office paper will also work.
- Cut out the details along a solid line. An adult helps the children with the scissors.
- Fold along the dotted lines. Apply glue to the gray tabs labeled "glue" and glue the head cube together.
- Similarly, glue the smaller cube-trunk and glue the head on top.
- Glue the small parts (ears, legs, tail, wheels) according to the instructions on the sheet. Done - the toy is on the table.
Step-by-step instructions and a picture of "this is what it will look like" are on each sheet. What you will need: color printer, A4 paper, scissors, glue stick.
DIY paper animals
Paper animals are the easiest way to make a three-dimensional toy with your own hands: a cat, a dog, a bear, a fox, a panda, a cow, a mouse, a frog, a pig, a lion cub and a bunny. Each animal consists of two cubes (a head and a body), and the ears, paws and tail are separate parts. The cube is already colored, with a muzzle and signed edges, so there is no need to paint anything: just cut it out, bend it along the dotted line and glue it together.
These paper crafts are suitable for children from 3 years old (with adult help) and up to 8-10 years old independently. This is a ready-made idea for a kindergarten craft on the theme "Domestic and Wild Animals" or "Pets", for a labor lesson in elementary school or for a creative evening at home.
